Nearby to it is a Dolphinarium with animal actors which will impress you with beauty and mastery. Singing, dancing, painting, spectacular jumps of dolphins and much more will make your day a fairy tale, and that is true not only for children!
Also known asAgursky, the Agura Waterfalls (the term ‘Agura’ means river or stream in Ubykhian) are one of the most famous tourist attractions in Sochi. Located just outside the city, these majestic waterfalls that cascade from a height of 98 feet (30m) are a popular stop off along hiking trails that wind through the forest along the Agura Ravine in the Sochi National Park.
At the Eagle’s Rocks hikers can enjoy the view of the crystal clear waterfalls crashing down to the oval pool below and admire the panoramic views over the city and Black Sea below. Swimming is allowed and a very popular activity in the warmer months. It is possible to organise tours to the waterfalls, but also easy to seek them out independently.
Set 1,968 feet (600m) above sea level, Krasnaya Polyana, (‘red meadow’) is fast becoming the most popular ski resort in Russia. Skiers and snowboarders in Krasnaya Polyana can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the West Caucasus. Located just 25 miles (40km) from Sochi and the Black Sea coast, Krasnaya Polyanais sometimes called the ‘Russian Courchevel” for its well-groomed pistes, good après-ski nightlife, and high prices. The resort owes much of its popularity to its excellent heliskiing opportunities, but there are also good runs for beginners.

The next must-see place is the Red Square.
Just outside the Kremlin is the famous Red Square. There you can watch the changing of the guard at the Eternal Flame or visit Lenin’s Tomb (be prepared to stand in line for more than an hour for an ‘attraction’ that is less impressive than it sounds). If St. Basil’s Cathedral is open, explore it; it is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. A final suggestion for Red Square: visit it in the quietude of the evening and experience it without the tourists. It is magical!
Old Arbat Street is Moscow’s most famous thoroughfare. Old Arbat Street is tourist-oriented, and you will be able to find some not-so-unusual souvenirs here. You will have more than one artist, musician, or juggler vying for your attention, depending upon the season and the time of day. Old Arbat Street is completely pedestrian, which means it is great for people watching.
Get a panoramic view of Moscow from Sparrow Hills. This vantage point allows you to get a good look at the expanse of the city. Perfect for photographs, a romantic moment, or jotting down thoughts in your travel journal.
If you are fond of shopping so you should go to GUM, just off Red Square, is Moscow’s most famous shopping center. As the facade that faces into Red Square has maintained its 19th-century appearance, it is easy to pass it by if you do not know it is there. The variety of shops contained within are a testament to how far Russia has come since Soviet days. You will find all manner of boutique represented in GUM. If you just want to window-shop, buy an ice cream from one of the vendors and browse at your leisure.
